Sound in Aquaculture Production
Soundscapes in Nearshore and Onshore Aquaculture Facilities and their Effect on Animal Welfare and Growth
The SONAQUA projects aims to develop and apply methods to determine short-term effects of noise on fish in onshore and near-shore aquaculture.
The current study proposes two workshops linked to four research exchanges. In workshops, methods will be developed to record, analyse and playback the sound-10 scapes of existing onshore and nearshore aquaculture. These will be applied during research exchanges to determine short- term effects of aquaculture noise on aquaculture fish.
