Neumayer Observatories for Meteorology and Air Chemistry

Atmospheric research at Neumayer takes place in 2 observatories: Meteorology and air chemistry. The meteorological instruments are mounted on the roof of the station or in the direct vicinity on the undisturbed snow surface. On the other hand the measurements of the air chemistry takes place in the air chemistry observatory 1.5 km south of the station to prevent contaminations from Neumayer-III.
