Working Group Measuring Systems and Data Flow

The working group conducts innovative, sustainable measurement technology development for current and future research tasks in LKII Coast with a focus on open-source technology transfer. The development work aims at

•     Quality assurance and quality attributability of the measurements
•     user-friendliness and user support
•     Reduction of development effort and costs
•     Scalability and inheritability of the developed technologies
•     Democratisation of observation technology

The working group develops basic technologies of a source-open, modular measurement system architecture for earth and environmental research and monitoring, which is to be created in overlapping cooperation of research institutes, companies and interested groups within the framework of the innovation platform "Shaping an Ocean of Possibilities (SOOP)".
