University Courses

At the AWI Wadden Sea Station Sylt, a course room with 16 equipped workstations is available for university courses and workshops. Each workstation is equipped with dissecting microscopes and cold source lamps. Microscopes are also available (to be shared by two students). Furthermore, there is a small course library in the course room with identification literature and specialist literature.

In the wet laboratories next to the course room, tubs, aquariums and basins with seawater flow are available for keeping living organisms. In addition, various glassware and sieves are provided, as well as equipment for field sampling (buckets, trolleys, scoops, landing nets, etc.).

The research vessel MYA II can be used for sampling. For reservations please contact Timm Kress.
