The preparative fraction collector (PFC) automatically collects single compounds after gaschromatographic separation.

The PFC has no valves and cold spots in the flow path, ensuring maximum transfer efficiency, recovery and compound purity (typically >99%).

The system makes it possible to trap compounds over hundreds of injections. This enables to collect sufficient quantities (>20μg) of individual compounds that can be submitted to ¹⁴C dating in the MICADAS.
