May 2019: DynAMo Workshop at AWI
For the technical evaluation of the first measurement phase (September 2018 to March 2019) of our measuring buoy in the Beagle Channel, another workshop was held at the AWI, Bremerhaven and at the ICBM, Wilhelmshaven (May 2019). In addition to guests from the HZG, the University of Oldenburg and the Thünen Institute, we were also able to welcome three colleagues from Argentina and Chile, whose stay was supported by DynAMo. Dr. Ricardo Giesecke (Centro IDEAL, Punta Arenas, Chile), Dr. Alejandro Vitale (IADO, Bahía Blanca, Argentina) and Dr. Jacobo Martín (CADIC, Ushuaia, Argentina) then had the opportunity to visit the long-term measuring station Spiekeroog operated by the ICBM in the North Sea and also to visit the various departments of the technical workshop at the AWI in Bremerhaven. Dr. Martín joined yet another visit to the AWI Helgoland (AG Prof. P. Fischer), to e.g. get a better understanding of the data management (O2A).
