Prof. Heinz Miller from the Alfred Wegener Institute has been selected to receive the 2016 SCAR Medal for International Coordination.

He "has an outstanding breadth of expertise and scientific contribution across glaciology, geophysics and applications to ice core research", writes the Commitee.
