The Minister President of the German federal state Schleswig-Holstein Torsten Albig visited Helgoland. During this year's summer trip he was guest at the Open Sea School laboratory of the Alfred Wegener Institute last Friday.
Three pupils from Helgoland demonstrated the exchange between fresh and sea water in the North Sea as an example of their practical work in the school lab. The Minister President was accompanied by the Alfred Wegener Institute's Vice-Director Karen Wiltshire and the Open Sea coordinators Nina Krumschmidt, Brigitte Harth and Antje Wichels.
